EXPERT CRAFTSMANSHIP
When protrusions or funny bones make too much contact with the shell, craftsmanship is at its best to help make that pressure go away. Our drummels and various other polishers and grinders can help any situation where it needs to be corrected.

STRETCHING PLASTIC
Stretching plastic to accommodate a wider foot or growth spurt is another resort that we can take if grinding can only be done at a minimum. Sometimes boots are becoming so generic that it is hard to fit a larger foot with excessively wide feet. It is also fair warning that if you are going to stretch the boot, make sure that your shells are not warped because of the stretching.

BOOT SOLE PLANING
Boot Sole Planing does not only involve expertise, it is a science as well. One has to understand why you use this technique and what results you will achieve from this. We use this to correct any shell warping that may arise with new boots or simply stretched boots. We also use planning to correctively install angles into the base of the boot to help straighten any angle problems you may have skiing.

EPOXY
Because material is taken away when you plane the base of a boot, we need to recreate material that we have taken off on the bottom and add it back on top. This is done by epoxy or using plastic shims that we screw on the bottom. Either way we need to pouter off the excess material so the boot will be compatible with the binding system (DIN) standards.

FOOTBEDS
 
Most trim-to-fit-footbeds are simple and better remedies to alleviating very minor foot and mechanical problems. They help provide a better 3-D fit in the side of the boot. The cupping of the heel helps provide some better stability inside the boot.

For feet with not too many problems, a trim-to-fit-footbed is all you need as long as it fits the right criteria. It is a premolded arch support that also can provide good contact between the big toe matched with the stability of the heel. This will allow for better stability of the foot and energy transfer to the boot.

Custom Fit Footbeds are a perfect reflection of the way your foot ought to be. It takes craftsmanship and know-how to make a functional footbed. The idea of custom is to help realign the bones and give you the best foundation your foot can have. Sometimes, depending on the type of foot you have, the footbed may have to be reinforced with posting material. Custom takes a little more time but the results are fantastic.

Once footbeds are molded and cooled down, a perfect cast is made of the foot in neutral. We then work with this template and adjust it to your specific needs. From here we grind and work it with your fit to your boots.
