1.General.<\/strong>Sporting Life Sporting Life Giveaway (SMS and Email Entry) <\/strong>(the \u201cSweepstakes\u201d or \u201cContest\u201d) is sponsored by Sporting Life, 7777 Weston Road, Ste 900, Woodbridge, ON L4L 0G9 (“Sponsor”). The Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules and to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.Eligibility.<\/strong>To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada over the age of majority in his\/her\/their province\/territory of residence. Employees of Sponsor and its parent and affiliate companies, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, representatives and agents (collectively, \u201cEmployees\u201d) and their immediate family members and\/or persons living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to enter this Contest. There is no entry limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.Entry Period.<\/strong>The entry period (\u201cEntry Period\u201d) will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (\u201cET\u201d) on February 1, 2024 and will end on February 29, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Sponsor\u2019s (or Sponsor\u2019s designated representative’s) computer is the official timekeeper for the Sweepstakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.How to Enter<\/strong>. To enter, you must enter your phone number and email via the website pop-up on the sportinglife.ca homepage to enter to win. Any \u201centries\u201d not completed via the website pop-up will not be accepted. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, illegible, damaged or late alternate entry requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Automated and\/or repetitive electronic submission of entries (including but not limited to entries made using any script, macro, bot or sweepstakes service, or multiple posts of one or more photos or other content used as the entry post) will be disqualified and transmissions from these or related email or IP addresses may be blocked. Use of multiple email accounts to enter will result in disqualification. All entries must be received and recorded during the Entry Period to be eligible for the drawing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not necessary to post any additional content or tags other than as specified above in your entry post or any separate post on the applicable Social Platform(s) in order to enter. The content posted in your entry post (your \u201cContent\u201d) must meet the following submission requirements: (i) the Content must be original and of your own creation, and must not violate or infringe the rights of others including, without limitation, patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, publicity, privacy or other proprietary rights; (ii) you must have obtained all required consents to enter the Content to the Sweepstakes, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Content must not contain any reference to or likeness of any identifiable third parties unless consent has been obtained from all such individuals (and their parent\/legal guardian if they are under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence); (iv) the Content must not contain any advertisement or solicitation; and (iv) the Content must not be unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, or tortious, contain explicitly or graphic content or inaccurate tags, must not victimize, harass, degrade or intimidate any individual or group, or otherwise contain any content that is or can be considered to be inappropriate, unsuitable, objectionable or offensive, all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify an entrant or potential entrant who uses his\/her account(s) to post inappropriate content or otherwise violates these Official Rules or Sporting Life\u2019s Terms of Service or user policies, as applicable, all in Sponsor\u2019s sole determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that any normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your Internet service provider will apply. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Prize and Odd. <\/strong>There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of one (1) $500 Sporting Life gift card to use towards in-store or online Sporting Life purchases. Specifications of the prize will be subject to availability. Any portion of the prize not accepted or unclaimed and\/or unused by the Winner will be forfeited and will not be substituted. No transfer, refund, cash redemption, substitution or replacement of any prize or any prize component permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period.
 
6.Winner Selection and Notification.<\/strong>The potential winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or Sponsor\u2019s representative at approximately 12:00 p.m. ET on March 4, 2024 at the Sponsor\u2019s office. The winner will be notified by Sporting Life tagging them in a comment on the Contest Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before being declared a winner, a selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by Sporting Life. As a condition of receiving the prize, the potential winner will be required to complete, sign and return to Sponsor an agreement confirming eligibility and liability release and, except where prohibited by law, a publicity release within the time period designated by Sponsor, if Sponsor so requests, in Sponsor\u2019s sole discretion. If a potential winner fails to do so or is found to be ineligible in Sponsor\u2019s sole discretion, that potential winner will be disqualified. Prizes will be shipped to winner\u2019s home or business address in Canada at Sponsor\u2019s expense. It is winner\u2019s sole responsibility to make sure that Sponsor has accurate address information for winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a potential winner (i) cannot be reached via email within five (5) business days of the first notification attempt, or without limiting the foregoing, Sporting Life is blocked from contact or the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) does not correctly answer the skill-testing question or does not complete any other required information for the purpose of declaring such entrant a winner and awarding him\/her a prize, or is otherwise unable to receive or claim the prize, or (iii) is found to be ineligible or otherwise does not or cannot comply with these Official Rules, that potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. Limit one (1) prize per person per household.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that no entrant is a winner of a prize unless and until such entrant\u2019s eligibility has been verified and Sponsor has confirmed such verification to the winner, even if that entrant\u2019s name has been publicly posted as a winner prior to completion of the verification process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Rights Granted by<\/strong> You.<\/strong> By accepting the prize, the winner grants to Sporting Life and its agents, and their respective licensees, successors and assigns the right to use his\/her name, likeness, voice, hometown, biographical information, and any images or statements  relating to the Contest for any lawful purpose (including but not limited to advertising and promotion), in perpetuity, in any media now known or hereafter developed, without further notice, permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Releases.<\/strong> By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules, and to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error herein or in the Contest itself, and to be bound by all actions of the Sponsor and\/or Sponsor\u2019s representative(s), whose decisions are binding and final on all matters related to this Contest. By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees for entrant and for entrant\u2019s heirs, executors, and administrators to release, indemnify, defend, and hold the Sponsor and the Social Platform and their respective affiliates, promotion agencies, suppliers, partners, representatives and agents (collectively, the \u201cContest Entities\u201d) and their respective officers, directors, employees and representatives (collectively, the \u201cReleased Parties\u201d) harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest. By accepting any prize, winner agrees for himself\/herself\/themselves and for his\/her\/their heirs, executors and administrators to release, hold harmless, indemnify and defend the Released Parties from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including without limitation property damages, personal injury and\/or death, arising out of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or while preparing for, participating in and\/or traveling to or from any prize related activity and claims based on rights of publicity, rights of privacy, defamation or prize delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Additional Terms<\/strong>. By entering the Contest, the entrant understands and agrees that any submission may be refused as entry to this Contest in the absolute discretion of the Sponsor. Each participant agrees to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final. To the extent permitted by law, Sponsor accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest and\/or the prizes. Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, falsified, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such forms are void.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsor assumes no responsibility or liability for (a) any incorrect or inaccurate registration or entry information, or for any faulty, failed, garbled or jumbled electronic data transmissions; (b) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries at any point in the operation of this Sweepstakes; (c) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Sweepstakes; (d) inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet in general or of the Social Platform, or any change in the Social Platform\u2019s terms of service; or (e) any injury or damage to participant\u2019s or to any other person\u2019s computer which may be related to or result from any attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsor has not made and is not responsible for, and hereby disclaims, any representation, warranty or guaranty, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting Life reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, Sporting Life may select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and\/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sporting Life. Sporting Life reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or website or violates these Official Rules. Sporting Life has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to; multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by the Contest rules; or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sporting Life reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10. Privacy Policy <\/strong>Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Sporting Life website. 5. Prix et probabilit\u00e9s. <\/strong>Il y a un (1) prix \u00e0 gagner consistant en une (1) carte-cadeau Sporting Life de 500$ \u00e0 utiliser en magasin ou en ligne pour des achats Sporting Life. Les sp\u00e9cifications du prix seront assujetties \u00e0 la disponibilit\u00e9. Toute partie du prix non accept\u00e9e ou non r\u00e9clam\u00e9e et\/ou non utilis\u00e9e par le gagnant sera r\u00e9voqu\u00e9e et ne sera pas remplac\u00e9e. 6. S\u00e9lection des gagnants et notification<\/strong>.<\/strong>Le gagnant potentiel sera s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 par tirage au sort parmi toutes les inscriptions admissibles re\u00e7ues. Le tirage au sort sera effectu\u00e9 par le commanditaire ou son repr\u00e9sentant vers 12 h 00 HE le 4 mars 2024 dans les bureaux du Commanditaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avant d’\u00eatre d\u00e9clar\u00e9 gagnant, un participant s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 doit r\u00e9pondre correctement, sans aide d’aucune sorte, m\u00e9canique ou autre, \u00e0 une question d’habilet\u00e9 math\u00e9matique administr\u00e9e par Sporting Life. Comme condition pour recevoir le prix, le gagnant potentiel devra remplir, signer et renvoyer au Commanditaire un accord confirmant l’\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9 et la d\u00e9charge de responsabilit\u00e9 et, sauf si la loi l’interdit, une d\u00e9charge de publicit\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9lai d\u00e9sign\u00e9 par le Commanditaire, si le Commanditaire le demande, \u00e0 sa seule discr\u00e9tion. Si un gagnant potentiel ne le fait pas ou s’il est jug\u00e9 in\u00e9ligible \u00e0 la seule discr\u00e9tion du Commanditaire, ce gagnant potentiel sera disqualifi\u00e9. Si un gagnant potentiel (i) ne peut \u00eatre joint par courriel dans les cinq (5) jours ouvrables suivant la premi\u00e8re tentative de notification, ou sans limiter ce qui pr\u00e9c\u00e8de, Sporting Life est emp\u00each\u00e9 de contacter l’utilisateur, ou la notification de prix est retourn\u00e9e comme non livrable, (ii) ne r\u00e9pond pas correctement \u00e0 la question du test d’habilet\u00e9 ou ne remplit pas toute autre information requise dans le but de d\u00e9clarer ce participant comme gagnant et de lui attribuer un prix, ou n’est pas en mesure de recevoir ou de r\u00e9clamer le prix, ou (iii) se r\u00e9v\u00e8le in\u00e9ligible ou ne respecte pas ou ne peut pas respecter le pr\u00e9sent R\u00e8glement officiel, ce gagnant potentiel sera disqualifi\u00e9 et un autre gagnant potentiel sera s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 parmi les autres inscriptions admissibles. 7. Droits accord\u00e9s par l\u2019utilisateur.<\/strong> En acceptant le prix, le gagnant accorde \u00e0 Sporting Life et \u00e0 ses agents, ainsi qu’\u00e0 leurs titulaires, successeurs et ayants droit respectifs, le droit d’utiliser son nom, son image, sa voix, sa ville natale, ses informations biographiques et toute image ou d\u00e9claration relative au Concours \u00e0 toute fin l\u00e9gitime (y compris, mais sans s’y limiter, la publicit\u00e9 et la promotion), \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9, dans tous les m\u00e9dias connus ou d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s \u00e0 l’avenir, sans autre avis, autorisation ou compensation, sauf si la loi l’interdit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sporting Life se r\u00e9serve le droit, \u00e0 sa seule discr\u00e9tion, d’annuler, de mettre fin, de modifier ou de suspendre le Concours si (\u00e0 sa seule discr\u00e9tion) un virus, des bogues, une intervention humaine non autoris\u00e9e, une fraude ou d’autres causes ind\u00e9pendantes de sa volont\u00e9 corrompent ou affectent l’administration, la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, l’\u00e9quit\u00e9 ou le bon d\u00e9roulement du Concours.
