Features
MULTI-LAYER WOOD CORE
Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core with two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern can be tailored to each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics.3D RIDGE
A symbol of innovative, lightweight VÖLKL ski designs, its distinctive characteristic is a raised central ridge that drops sharply toward the edge, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertia around the center of the ski to a minimum, and significantly enhances the skier's sense of agility. At the same time, the central ridge allows for precise pressure distribution, creating the ideal flex characteristics for each model. Despite the weight savings, 3D.Ridge offers incredible stability, resilience, and overall performance.P-TEX 2100
A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.MODERATE TAPER
Moderate setup of tapered tips for an all-mountain oriented combination of precision on piste and easy handling off piste.CARBON STRINGERS
Additional band of carbon in the layup for direct transmission, agility and life.Alpine Skis Sizing Guide

Here are some reasons for sizing up or down:
Weight
- Size up if you are closer to the high end of your weight range or above average weight for your height.
- Size down if you are closer to the low end of your weight range or below average weight for your height.
Skill Level and Style
