The Volata represents the latest in FIS-approved race helmet development with a brand new variable elasticity thermoplastic shell, front and rear in-moulded Gate Shields to protect the helmet from gate impacts, as well as proven impact shield technology. Additional features are emergency removal ear pads, and two-piece ear ports for excellent hearing. The Volata MIPS® is equipped with 3-L MIPS®, Sweet's unique MIPS® system developed especially for the Volata race helmets, designed to reduce rotational forces on the brain.

This product is compliant with all FIS standards and specifications. The International Ski Federation / Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) is the world governing body for alpine ski competition and various other snowsports.

MIPS (MULTI-IMPACT PROTECTION SYSTEM)

MIPS is a system used to reduce the rotational forces on the brain in the case of oblique impacts. This is achieved by allowing a controlled rotation of the shell relative to the liner.

ABS Race Shell

This injection-moulded ABS Thermoplastic race shell is very impact resistant through its special rubber toughened construction. It is moulded with extreme precision to offer the best performance to weight ratio.

Impact Shields

Helmets with Impact Shields feature a moulded shock-absorbing EPS liner with Impact Shield inserts that provide unsurpassed performance for shock absorbance. It distributes impact from the inside of the helmet over larger areas in crucial zones where the head needs it (front and back).

Gate Shields

EPP with polycarbonate shells in-moulded into the main EPS liner to protect the shock absorbing structure of the helmet from gate impacts. The Gate Shields are placed at the front and back.
