PLASTICPlastic is widely used due to its vast versatility in manufacturing. It can be produced to be quite stiff flexing or quite soft dependant on purpose. A plastic material is any of a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic organic amorphous solids used in the manufacture of industrial products. Plastics are typically polymers of high molecular mass, and may contain other substances to improve performance and/or reduce costs.

On average, your snowboard should fall somewhere between your chin and the very bottom of your nose when held upright. There are a few additional details that play a significant role in determining which snowboard size is the right fit for you. After consulting the size chart, be sure to consider your weight, skill level, snowboarding style and the type of terrain you’ll be frequenting.
Here are some reasons for sizing up or down:
- Size up if you are closer to the high end of your weight range or above average weight for your height.
- Size up if you are an advanced/expert rider who is speed-driven and wants maximum power.
- Size down if you are a beginner/intermediate snowboarder.
- Size down if you are a freestyle or park rider looking for enhanced overall control and maneuverability.
Some snowboard models are also offered in wider waist widths, an extra detail that comes into play for riders with larger boot/binding sizes (typically US Men’s 11.5+ or Women’s 13+).
