Our responsive to Covid-19

A New Shopping Experience

As provinces ease COVID-19 safety measures, we are reopening select locations in line with recommendations from the local, provincial and federal governments and public health officials. As such, we’re taking necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff, customers, and the community. These precautions include new safety measures that may impact your shopping experience but will help us maintain a safe environment for everyone. You can learn more about them below.

While we do our part, we ask that you do yours by following best practices when entering our stores. This includes maintaining social distancing, staying at home if you are feeling ill, paying with credit or debit, and listening to our staff for directions. If you have any questions about your in-store or online purchase, please consult our Frequently Asked Questions before visiting us in-person.

We are excited to help you find new ways to live your Sporting Life during these challenging times. Welcome back!

Our New Safety Precautions

We are taking necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff, customers, and the community. These precautions include but are not limited to:

Cleaning Our Stores Frequently

Our stores will be sanitized daily, with high-touch surfaces cleaned at least three times a day. Common areas will be cleaned before and after each use.

Following All Health and Safety Guidelines

Our staff will undergo additional training to review best practices. Supervisors will review every employee’s state of health (checking their temperature when necessary) prior to their shift. Sporting Life will also provide gloves, face masks, and hydroalcoholic solution for employees to use during their shifts.

Limiting Store Capacity

We will be limiting the number of people that can be in our store at any given moment to ensure that everyone has ample room to maintain social distancing. We may also establish a one-way traffic flow or limit the number of people allowed in specific areas wherever necessary.

When at capacity, customers will be kindly asked to wait in line outside of the designated entrance.

Maintaining Social Distance

Got a question? Our sales associates are happy to help you, but please remember to stay 2 metres apart.

Closing All Fitting Rooms

Following current healthcare standards, all fitting rooms will be closed until further notice. We will also not be offering shoe try-on’s at this time.

Installing Plexiglass Barriers at Cash Desks

Cashiers will process payments and returns from behind plexiglass barriers. There will be one cash desk open for purchases and another for returns. Please note that we cannot take or dispose of any bags or garbage during this time.

Going Cashless

To help minimize contact between the cashier and the customer, we will only accept debit or credit. In addition, the tap payment limit has been raised to $250 on a single transaction to minimize touching payment machines.

Quarantining All Returns and Exchanges

Items that are returned or exchanged will be stored for three days before being returned to the shop floor. Please click here to learn more about returns and exchanges.
